Bloggerstribe Christmas Tag

Hey Whisperers,

Last week i was tagged by Katie from Life With Ktkinnes to do the Bloggers Tribe Christmas Tag, and let's be honest, i love doing tags so it was a given that i was going to take part. I am a huge fan of Bloggers Tribe, i love how they help encourage and share bloggers work and the girls who run it, Jordanne and Katie, are some of the nicest people I've ever met (they both have incredible blogs too check them out here for Jordanne and here for Katie). I can't wait to answer all the questions, so lets go over the rules and then jump right in!

Question Time

When do you start thinking about Christmas?

I don't think I ever really stop thinking about Christmas. I'm always thinking about what I'm going to get people throughout the year and i end up picking up bits and bobs all year around. I guess i really get into the Christmas Spirit on the 1st of November. I am a Halloween obsessed gal, so as soon as Halloween has passed it's pretty much Christmas for me.

What has been your most memorable Christmas present to date (good or bad!)?

I think my most memorable present would be a laptop my parents got me a few years ago, I know that it's a super superficial gift but it was the laptop i started writing my blog on. The laptop that always crashed before i saved my posts and had the slowest  processor ever in it. Although it didn't necessarily last the longest time i still loved it, so much so that i still haven't gotten rid of it even though it doesn't work anymore.

Do you have any Christmas traditions?

I don't think i really have any Christmas traditions. We put the tree up every year on the weekend closest to my Granddad's Birthday but that's pretty much all we do when it comes to traditions, when i have kids of my own i definitely want to create some new traditions though!

Which Christmas film is the greatest of them all?

ELF 100%. There's something about staying in on a cold night, all cosy and warm, tonnes of blankets and a hot drink with ELF playing. No matter how many times i watch it i still laugh at all the jokes. I think it's just one of those timeless Christmas films that's going to be around forever.

You have an empty seat at your table on Christmas Day – who do you invite and why? Can be absolutely anyone!

Oooo, tricky one. I'm not too sure who I'd invite, obviously I'd love to invite one of my favourite celebrities, Demi Lovato, Harry Styles, Zoella etc. but at the same time i wouldn't necessarily want them there if you get what i mean? I love just having Christmas day with my immediate family, so given the chance, i probably wouldn't invite anyone.

Where in your house does your Christmas Tree go each year?

We have quite a long living room so our Christmas tree goes in the back corner in front of the Patio doors, it's quite a big tree so there's nowhere else it could go, but when i get a house of my own i would love a bay window in the front to put my Christmas Tree in because i think tree's look amazing in bay windows

Name the top 3 songs on your Christmas Party Playlist

Santa Tell Me, Last Christmas and Micheal Buble's It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Who is the hardest person you’ve ever had to buy a Christmas present for?

My mom and sister are both hard to buy for. They never give you any ideas or hints and it drives me mad, i swear I've asked them what they want/need about 10 times a day since the Christmas season started and i still don't have any ideas

When do you eat your Christmas dinner, and what all is on your menu?

Christmas is one of those days where food just constantly seems to be on your mind. Breakfast for us is normally pretty basic, we normally have Toast or if we have more time we have a sausage or bacon sandwich. We snack pretty much all day and then we start our Christmas dinner at around 1-2pm. We have toast and pate for a starter and then around half an hour later we have our actual dinner of Turkey, Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips, Sprouts, Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets, Yorkshire Puddings, and Gravy. My sister and dad have Cranberry sauce but i honestly can't stand it. We're always stuffed after dinner so we don't have pudding until around 1-2 hours later. Me, my mom and sister normally have something like Sticky Toffee Pudding and my Dad has Christmas Pudding. We then pretty much just snack until we go to bed.

What’s your favourite Christmas related quote?

“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?”
― Bob Hope

Are you a wrapping paper person, or boxes and bags? Or are you a mix?

I'm a wrapping paper person, even though my wrapping is terrible. I pretty much wrap them up then hide how terrible they are in a gift bag.

What makes Christmas so special to you?

Everyone coming together, i have quite a big extended family, but  i know that I'll see all of them at Christmas. On Christmas Eve i see my Mom's side and on Boxing Day i see my Dad's side. I just love being able to take that time to see everyone.

What is one Christmas accessory you simply have to have?

Christmas Jumpers, every year i have to wear at least one. I know some people find them tacky but i absolutely love them.

Do you have a favourite Christmas drink?

I love the Starbucks Fudge Hot Chocolate, it's just that little bit sweeter than any other hot chocolate and  i love it.

My added questions are:

1- If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, with your family, where would you spend it?

2- Do you like to stay in your PJs or dress up for Christmas?
