Winter Skincare Routine

Hey Whisperers,

As soon as it hits the Winter season my skin pretty much does a 180, it goes from oily to dry, from clear to acne covered and from even to pigmented it's insane. So over the past few weeks I've been switching up and adding some extra steps to my skincare routine and today i thought i would share it with you, i hope you enjoy!

Winter Skincare Routine

To start of the night i take my makeup off using the Clinque Take The Day Off Balm. I am obsessed with this balm, when i first saw it in my Birchbox and I'll be honest, i was sceptical but it has honestly worked wonders with my skin. You take a small amount of the balm, warm it up in your hands and apply it to your face as you would with any other face wash or cleanser and it just melts your makeup away. I've had super dry skin over the past few months and using this has helped me so much it just leaves my face feeling so soft every time. I don't use it every night as i do only have the small pot at the minute but even using it once or twice a week has helped my skin tonnes.

Up next is the Soap And Glory Foam Cleaner. If you've been a reader of my blog for awhile you'll know I'm 110% obsessed with this cleanser, i pretty much use it daily to either help wash off the Clinque Balm or on it's own to take off my makeup. You only need a small amount and it washes everything off, it doesn't help with my acne much anymore but i do still love using it.

I'm pretty sure everyone and there mothers, cousins, best friends, daughter has tried this scrub and i 100% understand the hype. This scrub makes my skin feel so silky smooth and fresh and it doesn't break the bank like a lot of other face scrubs. It is supposed to help with acne and it does help a little with mine, but it definitely doesn't clear it up entirely.  I definitely want to give the Green Tea version a go soon too because it sounds amazing.

I don't know what it is about this eye lotion but it just makes my under eyes feel so incredibly soft and moisturised. You are supposed to soak cotton pads in the lotion and leave them on your eyes but i like to just apply it with my finger over my entire eye lid and under-eye before i go to sleep, because if i applied it with the cotton pads and lay with my eyes closed for 10 mins I'd probably fall asleep, even though i don't use it as it's supposed to be used it leaves my eyes feeling amazing.

Last but not least is the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Serum. I am in love with this serum, it feels amazing on the skin and it absorbs so quickly it's amazing. I've been using this serum morning and night to prep before my makeup and to add extra moisture into my skin before i go to sleep. I have the Combination skin formula but they also do a Normal to Dry skin formula here and a Sensitive skin formula here.

My skin is still acting up and without my makeup on i pretty much look like a walking talking dot-to-dot but my skin is definitely feeling more moisturised and smooth! If you have any suggestions for my obviously amazing face demons please let me know!!

Happy Blogmas Day 6
